What is XTron In-Vehicle CCTV?

Xtron is an in-vehicle CCTV system developed specifically for taxis and private hire vehicles.  The system improves driver and passenger security, providing high quality CCTV digital video and audio evidence that can be used in court proceedings.

The XTron system is a fully integrated solution. Supporting up to four infrared cameras, it can be configured to record a 360 degree view of both the passengers and the driver’s cab area. Forward and reverse looking cameras are protected by a vandal resistant covers.

To provide additional safety the integrated passenger monitor can be used to show passengers that they are being recorded.  This monitor can also be used for in-vehicle media advertising as an additional revenue source for the driver.

The control unit records up to 30 days of images on a secure data drive and begins recording automatically when the vehicle is started. All recorded images are watermarked for use in court proceeding; and also to prevent tampering.
